Please sign the petition to support changes in Care Order forms to protect ALL parents whose child needs to go into care for complex special needs reasons only and not through lack of parental love and devotion.  As it stands Care Order form C110A will find fault with the biological or adoptive parent after a placement breakdown.  This is not justice – Seek justice and Sign.

Or send your support directly to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government – [email protected]

Or contact your Local MP and ask for their support in directing a letter to the government on your behalf.

A Care Order is required when a child can no longer be reasonably supported or cared for in its home by its’ Parents or Adoptive Parents.   The child is then returned to state care and the application for a Care Order is then sought in court.

As things stand the Care Order does not protect ALL Parents no matter that they have had to reach a very difficult decision to have their  Child to be put back into care and have willingly consented to the Care Order.

As the Care Order stands Social Workers must find significant fault with the  Parent in order to have the Care Order processed.  The devastated parent now find they are at the mercy of a system which in my opinion goes against human rights.

This cannot be right nor should be justified.  In my case my child was returned to state care because of medical reasons and medical reasons only.  I support a no blame approach by the courts in situations such as medical or other grounds so the parent can be protected.

Therefore there must be an additional box for the current Care Order Act would include a box for medical grounds/other grounds.  Those grounds could be listed separately.  This would mean Social Workers would not have to potentially denigrate the parent in order to get a Care Order for the child.

Please sign the petition to action your support and stop the injustice against ALL Parents.

Application under the Children Act 1989 for a Care or Supervision Order Page 8 as it currently stands:

4. Grounds for application The grounds for the application are that the child (ren) is/are suffering or is likely to suffer, significant harm and the harm or likelihood of harm is because the child is:  Not receiving care that would be reasonably expected from a parentBeyond parental control

I would like to see the following added to the Care Order Form without any blame being apportioned to the Parent should that be the case.
